Dr. Megan Leun

Dr. Megan Leun is a driven, personable, hardworking, Long Island, NY native who is passionate about fostering meaningful patient relationships and providing high quality comprehensive care.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Joseph’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in chemistry. During her time there she was a two-sport collegiate athlete playing both soccer and softball.

Dr. Leun then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine, where she completed a concentration in Prosthodontics. Upon graduating, Dr. Leun was given the Brasseler USA Esthetic Dentistry Award, American College of Prosthodontists Award, Dean’s Award, and Student Affairs Recognition Award. She was also inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a highly selective national dental honor society that selects members from the top of the graduating class who show potential for professional growth and serve as examples among their peers.

Following dental school, Dr. Leun chose to complete a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital here in San Diego. She treated our nation’s veterans and received advanced clinical training in the areas of prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, oral medicine, and restorative dentistry. While at the VA, Dr. Leun presented her research at the California Dental Association Conference in Anaheim where she won second place for her research on the Mental & Physical Health of Dental Professionals.

Her goal for treatment is for patients to feel informed, comfortable, and well cared for. It is important for you to feel like you are being treated in a collaborative, positive environment & Dr. Leun will provide that. She strongly believes in the power of a confident smile & is excited to work together to complete your treatment goals.

Outside the office Dr. Leun enjoys playing/watching various sports, attending San Diego Wave soccer games, exploring new restaurants, and going to the beach. Dr. Leun is also a huge Buffalo Bills fan- Go Bills!
